Arabian Horses
Babson Arabian Stallions at Stud. See the authentic look of Old Egyptian breeding preserved in the Straight Egyptian Babson Arabian.
Babson Arabian horses are recognized as preservation Straight Egyptian,
Al Khamsa, Sheykh Obeyd, and Heirloom Arabians.
Straight Babson horses are horses with pedigrees that comprise only of the horses that Henry Babson imported from Egypt in 1932.
Straight Babson Arabians are among the few Straight Egyptian Arabians without the prolific SE stallion Nazeer in their pedigrees. So these Straight Egyptian Arabians are non Nazeer.
Babson Arabians have been used in outcrossing with many other Arabians and can be found in many Straight Egyptian, Egyptian Related and domestic pedigrees.
Strains and Types
All horses have combinations of strains in their pedigrees. Many of the old classic and loved Babson horses of the past are crosses between Dahman Shawan and Saqlawi Jirdan strains.
Carl Raswan says " the Kuhaylan are the original Arabian Desert Horse." A Dhaman'ish' pheno type is the predominate look in the Babson arabians and is a blend of the Kuhaylan and Saqlawi pheno types.

Babson Brown
Horses
HR Jamil Ahmar Hisaan is our beautiful Babson / Brown stallion and his tail female strain is Saqlawi Jirdan IBN Sudan. His tail male is through Zobeyni.
Our Babson Brown breeding horses have Julyan and Hallany Mistanny in their pedigrees.
These two horses refer back to the WR Brown import of 1932 and trace to the horses Zarife, Roda and Aziza.
The Brown and the Babson imports are closely related and come from the same Egyptian sources. Babson and Brown could have easily imported any of these horses. The Babson and Brown horses are essentially the same breeding.
Sirecho came from the Brown imports.
These men both shared a passion for importing the true and best Egyptian breeding in their time.
However there are no Straight Brown horses.
These few Brown horses mentioned have been preserved in the Babson breeding.
Thus Babson Brown horses might be considered to have the same genetic roots but a somewhat broader genetic base than the Straight Babson horse.

Turfa from the Babson herd
Turfa is a Saudi mare that was imported from Canada at another time by Henry Babson.
Turfa has been a very loved line of breeding and produces wonderful horses. Especially good as family riding horses. There are unfortunatly very few horses with Turfa in their pedigrees remaining.
Turfa is not part of the Straight Babson breeding group because she was not imported from Egypt with the other 7 horses that Babson imported in 1932.
Turfa is not Straight Egyptian but is
Al Khamsa.
Sirecho
We also have a few horses that have Sirecho in there pedigrees.
Sirecho lines have been successfully combined with the Babson lines and there are a group of horses referred to as 'Babson Sirecho'.
Sirecho was a product of the WR Brown 1932 import Nasr and the Desert mare Exochorda, who was imported in 1930.
